Not knowing which way is up or down,
Wanting to smile but only able frown.
"Just give it time," is what people told me,
To tell you the truth I completely agree.
God is the only one that truly knows,
Just trust in him and go as the wind blows.
Good things happen to the ones who wait,
Sometimes it even seems like fate.
For me it was hard to move on,
But I realized with every night comes dawn.
I couldn't be happier than I am right now,
God has sent an angel, I don't know why, but wow!
She is something totally new to me,
But when I'm with her I just feel free.
She is scared, but so am I,
That pain you feel, you want to die.
No one can promise, no one knows the future,
That's why life's so hard, nothing is secure.
Day by day is how it is going,
Taking our time but it seems to be growing.
I'd love to say I know what to do,
But honestly, I don't have a clue.
One thing I do know, she makes me smile,
Something I haven't done in a long while.
